A lot has been said over the years about the brother-sister bond. It can be competitive — even antagonistic. But it can also be loving, protective and enduring.
The Princess and the Dragon
To celebrate that precious bond, we at Custom Craft turned to a beloved short story by British writer Carolyne Ardron, called “The Princess and the Dragon.” (If you’ve never heard that tale, read on!)
We designed our “Every Princess Needs a Dragon” tee with the sparkle every sister craves. While her brother’s identical T-shirt proudly proclaims, “I’m the Dragon.”
The black tees are made from 100% combed ring-spun cotton, while the heather gray shirts are a soft yet durable cotton-polyester blend.
The Story
“Once upon a time, there was a king and queen who lived in a golden castle with their beautiful daughter. One night an ugly ogre captured the beautiful princess and locked her up in his tall, dark tower.
“The king and queen promised a bag of gold to the knight that rescued the princess. So all the knights in the land rode to the tower as fast as they could.
“The ugly ogre roared with anger when he saw the knights. They were so frightened, they all rode away as fast as they could.

“One day a friendly dragon was flying over the ogre’s tower when he heard the princess cry for help. The dragon flew down to the tower, and with one big fiery breath, blew the ogre far away over the mountains and into the ocean.
“The dragon rescued the princess from the tower and gently placed her on his strong back. They flew high in the sky, over the tower, over the mountains and caves, out towards the deep blue ocean, and finally back to the castle.
“The king and queen were so happy to see the princess, they gave the dragon the bag of gold.
“And they all lived happily ever after… “
